Resources: How to complete your Adult...
Concussion Resources
Each Travel coach and assistant will need to watch a
video on Concussion protocal. This is not a very long
video and there are some easy questions to answer.
After you complete the video, you can download a
certificate saying you completed the video. Please
forward a copy to Mark
Ercolini so I know who has completed the video. I do
not want paper copies. I will need ALL coaches to
complete the video. This is a requirement to
coach in the ECYSA.
We highly recommend all City League coaches also watch
one or both of these videos.
Protecting Youth Soccer Players
The information and links here are pertaining to the
Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe
Sport Authorization Act of 2017 are extremely
important!
For detailed information on how the law impacts members
of your organization please visit the Mass
Youth Soccer Abuse Prevention web-page linked below:

On February 14th, 2018, the President signed the
Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe
Sport Authorization Act which is aimed at protecting
amateur athletes* from sexual abuse.
The Law has a three-pronged approach:
Any adult interacting with amateur athletes in the
program has a duty to report abuse and or suspected
abuse within a 24 hour period. EVERY adult is a
mandatory reporter.
The statute of limitations is extended for up to 10
years after a victim realizes he or she was abused.
Limits an athlete under the age of 18 from being alone
with an adult who is not their parent.
US Youth Soccer released a memorandum on May 18th 2018
